Recently, I just finished building the 1/48 Kamov KA- 50 Alligator. A nice simple kit from Italeri with only two main Sprue. The fitting of the kit is quite good. With minimum modification you can get the main body done up. Overall is a very fun build and most research can be obtained from the internet.
As usual, I always starts with the cockpit. With the pilot seat and cockpit painted and masked up for the main body to be glue together. I used the Desert yellow colour from Tamiya and the a mixture of different green from Mr Color to get the Camouflage colour scheme that I desired. After the primary colour were applied, I continue with the post shading, adding some darker tone around the camouflage pattern. Then, layer of gloss vanish to coat over the entire body. Once the vanish coat is dryed, with a little wash of Burn Umbra oil paint helps to darken the overall camo. I did some pin wash to darken the penal line more as to have the detail to be more obverse.
