I have always enjoy building Gunpla model kit since a young boy and have not stop doing so till present. So far my favorite is still the Mastergrade series from Bandai. The scale of 1/100 is neither too small nor too big, the ideal size for display. Most of the mastergrade parts does not require you to glue the parts together. Thus making the building process fast and hazard free.
The Gundam FA-010A FAZZ is one of the kit I took the longest time to build. First of all is due to work commitment. Secondly, there are just too many other model kits that I wanted to build along the way. Therefore the building process has been halted quite a number of times. The Gundam FAZZ is one of the heavy armored looking Mobile suit with the distinctive long gun that mounted on the side of its shoulder. Previously, i saw some Gunpla modeller customized their Gundam Fazz and they look very impressive too me. And that inspire me to do some customization to my version too. I feel the proportion of the Gundam Fazz is abit short due tot he heavy armor suit attached. So I extended the leg 15mm longer so as to portrait a more tall slim looking version.
I did some planning on the colour scheme and decided to go with orange, grey and white combination. I have choosen Mr Color for the painting. The grey colours are mixed from C307 with some black and white to give various tone of grey. The overall color scheme looks alright and I’m quite please with it. I added additional panel line to some of the surface to make it look more busy.
Below pictures are the finished model of the Gundam FAZZ. It stands slightly taller than the original from box. So far, i’ve no time to take proper pictures with studio light setup and background. All images were from my mobile phone. Will try to find some times to have a nice photo shoot for most of my scale models.
